"Welcome Back, Kotter" premiered on ABC on 9th September 1975 and ran through to 8th June 1979.

 

SEASON 1

01. Welcome Back Kotter (Pilot) - Gabriel Kotter is a teacher in Brooklyn, New York who ends up teaching

at his old alma mater: James Buchanan High School. He has been assigned to teach the remedial

students, better known as the Sweathogs, a group to which he used to belong.

 

02. The Great Debate - The Sweathogs go one-on-one against the school debating team.

 

03. Basket Case - Washington makes the varsity basketball team, and becomes uninterested in taking his exams.

 

04. Whodunit - Rosalie "Hotsy" Totzi tells Gabe that she is pregnant, and he attempts to uncover the identity of the father.

 

05. The Election - Barbarino runs for student body president against two pupils he considers "overachievers".

 

06. No More Mr. Nice Guy - Mr. Woodman mellows after teaching the Sweathogs a history lesson. Meanwhile, Kotter becomes a disciplinarian.

 

07. Classroom Marriage - Washington decides to marry, but Kotter convinces him to wait.

 

08. One Of Our Sweathogs Is Missing - Epstein disappears because he is humiliated after losing a fight.

16. Follow The Leader, Part 1 - When Barbarino is dethroned as the Sweathogs' leader, he decides to quit school.

 

17. Follow The Leader, Part 2 - Barbarino moves in with Kotter after Julie, fed up with her husband's pre-occupation with the Sweathogs, moves into a hotel.

 

18. Doctor Epstein, I Presume - The school guidance counselor advises Epstein that he lacks the intelligence to become a veterinarian, so Epstein presents all his pets to Kotter.

22. Father Vinnie - Barbarino decides to become a priest, just as his grandmother requested on her deathbed.

23. Career Day - Kotter is offered a well-paying job in Chicago.

 

24. Inherit The Halibut - Class treasurer Washington is the prime suspect when the class fund is discovered missing.

 

25. Sweatside Story - Kotter steps in when the Sweathogs resolve to go into battle against a gang at rival New Utrecht High School.

 

26. The Fight - Bickering leaves the Sweathogs no longer on speaking terms.

 

27. The Museum - Kotter and the Sweathogs become locked in a tomb with a mummy during a museum field trip.

 

28. Gabe Under Pressure - Kotter is not pleased at being coerced into taking a physical.

 

29. Sweathog, Nebraska Style - Julie's out-of-town sister, visiting Brooklyn, promptly becomes a Sweathog, and starts dating Epstein.

34. Hark, The Sweathogs - The Sweathogs befriend and attempt to reform the neighborhood bum.

 

35. A Love Story - Epstein becomes angry when his sister becomes a Sweathog and Barbarino asks her out.

 

36. Caruso's Way - Barbarino is mortified after the physical education teacher hits him in front of the girls' gym class.

 

37. Sweatgate Scandal - The Sweathogs become reporters for the school newspaper and unearth a scandal in the cafeteria.

 

38. Kotter And Son - Kotter's father visits from Florida.

 

39. Chicken A' La Kotter - Kotter moonlights at a chicken fast-food restaurant.

 

40. Whatever Happened To Arnold, Part 1 - Horshack has the lead in the school play, Cyrano de Bergerac, but quits the role and dissapears when the Sweathogs tease him. He is replaced by Barbarino.

 

41. Whatever Happened To Arnold, Part 2 - When the fifth father dies, Horshack decides to become head of the household. (This episode was the pilot for a prospective series featuring Horshack and his family).

 

42. The Littlest Sweathog - Kotter is delighted by the news that Julie is pregnant, but she is uncertain if she is ready for motherhood.

 

43. Radio Free Freddie - Washington wins fame as a deejay on station WBAD.

 

44. I'm Having Their Baby - While Kotter attends a teacher's convention, the Sweathogs attempt to cheer up a depressed Julie.

 

45. I Wonder Who's Kissing Gabe Now - The school art teacher falls for Kotter, and the Sweathogs believe they are having an affair.

46. Sweathog Back To School Special - A new semester begins, and Kotter and the Sweathogs remember events from previous years.

 

47. And Baby Makes Four, Part 1 - The Sweathogs except Barbarino graduate to the eleventh grade, and Julie is about to become a mother.

 

48. And Baby Makes Four, Part 2 - Gabe and Julie become the parents of twin daughters, while Barbarino pesters him to get him out of the tenth grade.
