Aviation - John fell in love with aviation at age 5 (1959), he enjoyed watching planes fly over his house, his first plane ride was at age 8 (1962). He first took flying lessons at age 16 (1970), he got his solo at age 20 (1974), he got his license at age 24 (1978), and he got his jet license at age 27 (1981). Now Captain John Travolta is fully qualified, he currently holds 11 pilots licenses for both commercial and business jets. He has logged about 8,500 hours, he has also completed 747-400 First Officer Simulator training. Although he has a crew for his planes he still pilots them himself most of the time. On 24th June 2002 he became the "Ambassador-At-Large" for Qantas Airways. He went on a 13 city, 35,000 mile "Spirit of Friendship" tour in his jumbo jet with his family to promote Qantas and flying. On 20th September 2011 Bombardier, the world’s leading business aircraft manufacturer, welcomed John as a brand ambassador for its Learjet, Challenger and Global jets. On 4th February 2012 he donated his G-2 Gulfstream executive jet to the Georgia Aviation Hall Of Fame at the Museum Of Aviation in memory of Jett. On 26th May 2017 he donated his Boeing 707-138B aircraft to the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society in Albion Park, approximately 90 miles south of Sydney, Australia.
John's more recent hobby is playing tennis (at midnight).

On 31st December 1990 (New Year's Eve), at 11:59pm, just before the first stroke of midnight, John presented Kelly with a six-carat diamond ring (a square-cut yellow diamond supported by a white diamond on each side) that cost $700,000 at the Palace Hotel Restaurant in Gstaad, Switzerland.

Kelly Preston, Birth Name - Kelly Kamalelehua Smith (Born 13th October 1962, Star Sign: Libra) in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her father died when she was 3 years old. She became Kelly Palzis when her mother Linda Carlson married Peter Palzis who adopted Kelly as his daughter. Early in her career many people had difficulty with her surname Palzis, so Kelly changed it to Preston from a choice of suggestions by her friends. John and Kelly met in 1987 when they filmed "The Experts" (1989) together.
Kelly sadly died on 12th July 2020 of breast cancer, she lost her 2 year battle, after putting up a couragous fight, with the love and support of so many, She was 57. She will be very greatly missed,
